DESCRIPTION EVERY CHILD IS BORN "WEARING" AN INVISIBLE GARMENT woven of spiritual threads. Every child's soul-purpose is inextricably embedded in his or her garment. This class is designed to help you learn about your child's life pattern and discover his or her spiritual strengths, thus giving you tools for parenting each child uniquely. From March 2nd through the end of June we will be offering an online class in which we will explore ways you can hep children grow into loving spiritual beings using the approach created by Connie Kaplan in her book The Invisible Garment: Thirty Spiritual Principles that Gudie Human Life. Drs. Connie Kaplan and Tamar Frankiel will be combining their knowledge and experience as scholars, students of spiritual development, and mothers of 8 children between them, to bring you this class. Each week we will post a new lesson on our password-protected digital classroom. The lessons will address the many ways in which you can observe and support your child's spiritual health, which will reverberate throughout his or her life. You will be encouraged to participate in an on-line sharing and discussion about each of these lessons.
HOW MUCH TIME WILL IT TAKE? All the lessons will be available for the entirety of the course, so that you can catch up if fall a little behind, or you may read ahead if you have a little extra time. WHO SHOULD TAKE THE COURSE? MOTHERS, FATHERS, GRANDMOTHERS, GRANDFATHERS, aunts and uncles, teachers -- anyone who is pivotal in your child's development. It's even helpful if you need to re-parent yourself!
WE ARE FULLY AWARE THAT YOU MAY FEEL OVERWHELMED with your already packed-to-the-limit schedule. We have designed this course so that it takes as much or as little time as you have to give it. Each week you will read a short lesson (we have the first one available for you to sample: A Manual for Spiritual Parenting: Introduction) and then when time allows, you can go to the classroom forum and share with the rest of the participants your insights, your questions, your frustrations, and your joys.

AN ESPECIALLY EXCITING ASPECT of this course is that a book will grow out of it -- one to which you will contribute, IF YOU SO-CHOOSE, through your efforts and insights in this work. And of course, you will get a free copy. When you register, you will receive:

AT THE END OF THIS COURSE, those who complete it will receive a digital copy of the e-book A Manual for Spiritual Parenting. Combining the lessons and segments from the conversations we have during the course, this handbook can serve as a valuable reference tool for you throughout your life. You may print it out, or leave it in your computer, as you wish.
PRIVACY POLICY: This class will only be read by the participants in the class. When we create the book, nothing you have said will be used without your permission. If you want to change your name, change the name of your children, or have your comments excluded altogether from the printable book, your request will be honored.
FEE OPTIONS
$400 - special fee for "early bird" registration by February 20, 2008
$500 - basic "late bird" fee after February 20
$35 additional per child if you want to study more than one child during the class.
$600 includes two private phone consultations with either Dr. Kaplan or Dr. Frankiel (or one with each) during the 16-week period.
Tamar Frankiel, Ph.D., is a scholar of comparative religion and Jewish mysticism. She is author of The Gift of Kabbalah, Kabbalah: A Brief Introduction for Christians, and historical works, and co-author of Minding the Temple of the Soul and Entering the Temple of Dreams. She has 5 children -now 18-28 years old.
